Multichannel Transmitter

The Philips DCN Multichannel Transmitter features a modular design which allow expansion of the system to up to 16 channels in increments of 4 channels. The transmitter supports up to four emitter outputs capable of handling up to 30 infrared emitters each.

The modular design features both analog multicore system inputs or DCN direct digital trunk cable input.

Each channel module also has unbalanced inputs for a direct feed into the transmitter channel. An emergency auxiliary connection provides an input which can override all transmission channels in the event of en emergency. Front panel channel on-off switches provide easy control of channel transmission and the inclusion of two IR LEDs provide simple monitoring of the system with a receiver at the transmitter location. Also, a front panel test switch produces a test tone on all channels to simplify testing of the transmission system.
